Tate Stevens is bringing a hometown hero to Guitars & Cadillacs — X Factor champion, Belton Missouri born and raised!

Tate Stevens is an American country music artist and the Season 2 winner of The X Factor USA on FOX — and he's one of our own. Born and raised in Belton, Missouri, Tate has been playing music around the world since 1995, touring with bands out of high school before coming home to Missouri to raise his family and work a day job while playing weekends and holidays.

In 2012, his family signed him up for The X Factor audition without much fanfare. What followed was a run that put Kansas City country music on national television. Tate never dropped below second place in America's weekly voting and actually won the popular vote four out of seven weeks, taking the title live on FOX and securing a $5 million recording contract with Simon Cowell's Syco Music and RCA Records Nashville.

His debut single "Holler If You're With Me" was featured in a Pepsi commercial that aired during the Grammy Awards, and his self-titled debut album landed at #4 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. He followed it with the Sweet Life EP, produced by Blake Chancey, whose title track video debuted at #1 on CMT.com. The project earned him six nominations at the 2016 Nashville Universe Awards, where he took home the fan-voted honors for Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year.

Two decades in and Tate is still the same guy — a hardworking family man with a big voice and a live show built on real country music. This is a homecoming you'll want to be at.
